The alpine is home to a diverse community of plants that range from wet loving species that depend on the snow melt to plants that can handle the harsh, blazing sun and drying winds.
Echinacea angustifolia
The northern most Echinacea species and bulletproof hardy. They don't need overly fertile soil and prefer the soil drier. A wonderful addition to the meadowscape.
